Pet Diagnostics & In-House Pharmacyin Plymouth, MN

When your pet isn’t feeling quite right, getting answers quickly can make all the difference. At Northwest Animal Hospital, diagnostics are designed to give you clear, timely information without added stress or confusion. The goal is simple: help you understand what’s going on, and feel confident about what comes next.

By combining in-house technology with trusted reference labs, our veterinarians can deliver accurate results efficiently, whether it’s part of a routine visit or a more urgent concern.

In-House Testing for Faster Answers

Digital X-rays

provide quick imaging, giving us a clear look at what’s happening internally. If additional insight is helpful, we can send radiographs to a specialist for further review.

Urinalysis
is performed using advanced technology (Sedivue), enabling detailed, automated analysis. In many cases, we can even show you microscopic images to help clarify the diagnosis and make the results easier to understand.

Advanced Testing When It Matters

For routine wellness care and more in-depth diagnostics, we send samples to a trusted reference lab for highly accurate results.

Most routine lab work is available by the next day, so you’re not left waiting long for answers. Our fecal testing includes sensitive antigen screening for six of the most common intestinal parasites, often detecting early or mild infections that traditional testing might miss.

This combination of speed and accuracy helps ensure your pet gets the care they need without unnecessary delays.

Access to Specialized Care

Some conditions require a deeper level of expertise. Northwest Animal Hospital partners with a board-certified internal medicine specialist who visits our practice every two to three weeks.

Your dog or cat will receive advanced diagnostics, including ultrasound, and specialized consultation in the familiar setting you’ve both grown to trust. Appointments are typically scheduled within about a week.

In-House Pharmacy & Ongoing Support

Once a diagnosis is made, having easy access to medication helps everything move forward smoothly.

Our in-house pharmacy stocks commonly-prescribed medications, so your pet can start treatment right away.

For added convenience, you can also fill prescriptions through our online pharmacy, making it simple to reorder and have medications delivered directly to your door.
